We recently worked on a project and built up an airplane spray booth for the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Company, that created a well-designed space for airplane repairs. The space included everything the company needed to finish their spare parts as a large spray booth, preparation bay, mixing room, and compressed air room.

How did we help for this airplane spray booth?

Airplane spare parts come in different sizes and have an irregular shape. They can’t be transported from one location to another on regular trolleys. With this in mind, our team designed a suspension chain on the door head in all rooms for the airplane spray booth. This allowed technicians to move heavy spare parts to different locations easily. The suspension chain didn’t take up space and was easy to use, which improved the overall productivity of the facility. The mechanism is simple but effective.

• The technician must hang the spare part on the suspension chain, which transports it to the painting booth.
• Once the painting is done, the chains move the part out of the room without any personal contact.

To improve the security and safety of the booth, we installed a small room with restricted access around the air ventilation system. This didn’t just improve the overall design of the space, but also ensured no one without authorization could tamper with the system.

We also installed a carbon-activated filter system in the airplane spray booth to improve the air quality and remove paint odors. This system makes the air inside the workshop more breathable and comfortable.

The Preparation Bay On This Projects

Dust and debris can compromise paint quality so we designed the preparation bay to be a clean environment. Our technicians installed a large fan motor along with a high-efficiency air cleaner. These two systems work together to ensure the air within the workshop is dust-free. In order to ensure the tools remain in good condition and are dust-free as well, we created a tools cabinet and electricity cabinet on rear wall panel. The technicians can place their tools directly on the cabinet and connect to electricity without the need for long wires.

This helps keep the workplace neat and organized, which will minimize the possibility of accidents and mistakes.

The Paint Mixing Room On This Project

The paint mixing room is designed to improve efficiency and quality of mixing. It also provides ample space for proper paint storage. The room has 500-lux illumination, which allows the painter to see the paint colors accurately. We have also installed a small exhaust fan to remove paint odors from the mixing room.

We also designed an individual room for compressions. These machines are required to create the perfect paint finish and should be stored in secure areas. Our compressor rooms are well lit and don’t allow unauthorized access.
